Vimes

Vimes is Andy's workstation, and is used for development too.

At the heart of Vimes is an AMD Athlon processor running at 1.4GHz, together with 768MB of DDR RAM and 120GB of disk space. There's also a Matrox G550 video card on board. Recently I also added a CD Burner to the system.

Vimes dual-boots between FreeBSD 5.3 and SuSE 9.2 Professional, but most of the time it is in FreeBSD. If I need to use an alternative operating system on it, I run it under an emulator.

Vimes is used for several tasks including my everyday work, and I also help prepare to KDE for use on FreeBSD, together with the rest of the KDE-FreeBSD Team.
